When exhibiting at a convention, I strive to make work that appeals to a wide variety of people and their interests. My fanwork includes topics from pop culture, movies, cartoons, video games, comics, anime, and manga. I also intersperse my own original content throughout my table, often drawing characters from my developing webcomic NOCTIVAGARI or creating usable objects like sketchbooks and pouches. Examples of typical prints can be found in my main portfolio pages.
Merchandising is key when trying to promote your own work. If your table doesn't catch the eye of the buyer, they're not going to shop. I strive to make my displays eye-catching and organized to draw people in and make that first contact.
I typically find myself sharing tables with other artists, so my displays fit within 3-4 feet of space. However, they are designed in a way that they can also be shifted to accommodate a full 6-8 foot table.
Along with merchandising the table, I love to merchandise the work itself. Packaging the work and displaying it as though it were in an actual storefront ignites people's curiosity and invites them to pick up the work and hold it in their hands.
The average buyer is different at each convention which is why I try to offer a wide variety of products at a price range that everyone can afford. Even if it's the end of the con and you only have a couple dollars left, there's something for you at my table.
Prices range from $2 stickers to $30 pieces of handcrafted jewelry.
